Hello, I am Natasha, the artist behind Chupadoodles. If you are seeing this, you probably are interested in one of my art pieces.
I started Chupadoodles in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, and I wasn’t very good at drawing. However, I felt a lot of joy whenever I created something and I knew I wanted to make art for a living. Chupadoodles’ main character, Chupa, looked very different when I first started (check down below) but over time as I learnt new art techniques, my art has changed and grown.
My first character, Chupa, was heavily inspired by my sister’s dog, Pepper! Pepper likes to eat, sleep & avoids going for walks. Subsequently, I added more characters to Chupadoodles inspired by more of my pets & my own personal experiences. Currently, Chupadoodles has 6 characters & they all have their own distinct personalities! Find out all their names below.
I started out shipping items in the corner of my bedroom and remember the first package I shipped: I spent a lot of time and even bought extra materials from art store to make the package look cute. In 2022, I even rented out a space for Chupadoodles but after sometime I moved back to my home office. I felt like moving to the unit made me more burnt out and impacted my art. After moving back, I realised I am not a big ecommerce brand or big business, I am running Chupadoodles by myself and to hope that I can bring some comfort to you through my art.
About 70% of my new designs are now made in-house - meaning they are made, packaged and packed from my home or studio. I’ve chosen this route so that I am able to make more designs and develop more types of items for you.
